Pathway Process for Children and Teens

“All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.”
from ‘Anna Karenina’ by Tolstoy

Does this sound like your family?

One unhappy and troubled child takes up most of the available attention and energy in the family.

You can no longer see with any clarity what is going on for that child; the tangled web has become knotted and dense. You suspect certain causes and reasons but the whole issue has become inflamed and tricky to talk about.

You don’t see your child any more; only their unhappiness and despair and the symptoms of their  unhappiness: anxiety, self-harming, OCD, ticks, anger outbursts, isolation and perhaps disordered eating.

If you can identify with any of the above, you are definitely in the right place

I want you to know that you are not alone, and blaming yourself and feeling guilty won’t help your family.

I come across this all the time in my work with families and I’ve been there myself too. As parents we often struggle to help our children and teenagers because we hurt so much for them.

Being the parent of an unhappy child can cause chronic stress and the saying that ‘you are only as happy as your unhappiest child’ is only too true.

There is no escaping the pain and nothing really numbs knowing that your child is deeply unhappy.

But I have a solution for you!

Our daughter attended the Pathway Process and my main concern was if it would work. Now I feel it is the best money I have ever spent and I would be happy to stand up and should about!

We’ve seen a significant improvement in our daughter’s behaviour, attitude and engagement with her friends & family and I can 100% recommend this process to other parents.

Our daughter engaged completely, now feels in control of herself and has tools to help her manage. We all have better relationships and are happier and more positive. We can now do the simple things together as a family like sharing meals and watching tv. I think the Process is brilliant and definitely worth the investment. In fact you’ve been brilliant for us, and I’d be happy to stand up and shout about it!!!:):)

The work

being bullied for being diffrenetEach family will have a unique tailored process designed to meet their needs and family situation, resulting in sustained and lasting change.

Your child will transform the emotional baggage that is weighing so heavily on them and you will be freed from the constant firefighting, getting your child and your peace of mind back.

This work is not about removing symptoms, its about going to the root of the symptoms and removing them. This means that the results are ‘forever’ results

Your child will feel good in their own skin and have their old energy and vitality back. In fact they will be more than their old selves; they will be empowered and feel stronger. They’ll have tools and skills to find their wings and fly.

The work is a 3-way process between you, your child and myself. You will never be excluded, which does happen in some other therapeutic processes

You will be able to measure progress, be encouraged to communicate about it and you will see real and tangible results quickly.

You will notice a positive change in your child even after the very first session.

I worked with Inger over the summer for issues with intrusive thoughts.

Before working with Inger these thoughts were near-constant and would deeply disturb me. I would feel disgusted with myself and would often fly into an all-consuming panic where I would spend hours ruminating on them and what a terrible person I must be for having them.

Since then, I am in a much better place. I am more frequently able to let these thoughts go and if they do get to me I find tapping a great strategy to calm me down and allow me to see things more rationally.

Our sessions were held online which worked fantastically for me as I was able to fully experience EFT without having to travel, as this was not a viable option for me. R.D. University of Wolverhampton

We will work together so that the process meets the needs of your child, your family and your circumstances.

My daughter was 12 when she had 6 sessions with Inger and I started to see an improvement in her after the first session alone. She enjoyed her sessions and always came out smiling and more relaxed and she learnt fantastic techniques to help her deal with her feelings and with stressful situations she found herself in.

Inger seemed to unravel some of the problems that were deep rooted and I now have a happier child entering her teenage years. I would certainly recommend Inger’s work. Mother, Journalist, Dunmow

I don’t work with everyone

I can only work with a limited number of one-to-one clients to be able to give you the level of support you need. To make sure this is the right solution for you, I invite you to a 60 minute no obligation WayForward Consultation.

On the call we’ll get to chat and see if we’re a good fit.

If at the end of the consultation, I feel my services are not a good fit for you then I’ll let you know. And if I feel I can help, I’ll let you know how.

The purpose of this valuable call is to help you get clarity about what I offer and how I work, and for me to understand your family dynamic and where things have gone awry. It is important that you choose the right person for your child as they often only give us one chance to find them help.

It was fantastic to find Inger at a time when my relationship with my 15 year old anxious teenager had hit an all-time low. I initially attended one of the workshops at the SWCHS which was enlightening. I then went to see Inger for the “Parenting “SOS Package.”

These sessions were invaluable. Inger has a friendly manner and is easy to talk to. I found her suggestions and ways of looking at things really helpful, combined with the EFT tapping, which is easy to incorporate into your everyday life.  I kept a post-it note of some of her suggestions by my bed-side, just to refresh myself each day.

At the beginning of session 1 I had become overwhelmed with all the conflict at home but Inger helped me to find the tools and strategies to work through it all.

I would definitely recommend Inger to any families going through challenging times. C.S., PR consultant, Saffron Walden

Sophie on being bullied

The change in Sophie was gradual and I feel really bad now that I didn’t spot what was going on much earlier.

When I look back the signs were definitely there. She changed so much. She became downright horrible to me and to her younger sister….
